Solid, neutral background. A solid, neutral colored wall is best. White, cream, light grey, etc. 

The camera should be at the right angle so it shows your true height best .If the lens it too low you will look taller than you are. If it is too high you will look super short.The camera lens should be at about mid body. 

You want a variety of images that show different movements and expressions. Movement can be very minimal - you don't want the same movement in every image. You should have a good mixture of smiling and relaxed/serious expressions. 

Ladies, take off the heavy makeup. Very light, natural makeup. A little concealer under the eyes, a little mascara, and lip balm is all you really need! Have your hair styled down and out of your face for most shots, but have some with your hair pulled back.

Guys, hair must be lightly styled - no flyaways. Facial hair must be groomed. 

Take as many digitals as you want then narrow it down to the strongest 7-8 images that show a variety of framing, expressions, and movement. 

You want a good mix of close ups, full body, 3/4, and some slightly showing the side of your body. See examples below for more guidance. 

You must be well lit. No shadows. If you are taking digitals inside you really need a light in front of you. Natural lighting is best if you have a window or a spot outside you can take digitals.

Women: Form fitting jeans and a fitted shirt or tank top. We need to see your figure! We prefer a black or white top and black or blue jeans. 

Men: Form fitting jeans (blue or black) and a black or white fitted t-shirt or tank top.
