New York Fashion Week 2022: Four Designer Highlights

Nothing beats the glitz and glamour of the biannual New York Fashion Week runway shows. The talent of the designers has been incredible this year, deserving all of the recognition the shows can get. Let's dive into some notable looks from 4 designers and some of their focuses.


Michael Kors - Monochrome Moment:

Michael Kors made a common monochromatic theme in this year's NYFW show, exhibiting full-body looks in the same colors. Monochromatic looks allow for a creative way to show off your favorite color- which Michael Kors accomplished with many blazers in mind as well.

Yellow Blazer Set - The sunshine color
Grey Playsuit/Blazer Combo - A beautiful display of accessories done simply.
Grey- Thigh-high boots and an over-sized coat never looked so chic!
Coral - This trench coat/heel combo gives the right amount of sass and class.
Beige - The hood detail provides some coolness to this cozy look.
Fuchsia - Who doesn't adore a vibrant color like this?
Leopard - A timeless pattern that is sure to be a hit for many more years to come.

Tory Burch - Waist Pieces:

Tory used a vintage New York sign to capture the evening-essence of the eccentric one-of-a-kind pieces. We see a trend in waist accessories in these unique looks. Be on the lookout for more waist pieces to come in the future!

The Sign - A perfect way to kick off the NYFW show.
Bright Colors - A creative and stunning way to combine such opposite colors.
Vintage - This elegant piece with the white collar surely makes the red lips pop.
Retro 1/2 - The details on this piece make it one of a kind; zipper, finger cutout.s, colors
Retro 2/2 - We see the cutouts again here, with red and pink this time.
Layers - Another waist piece done right with many layers and colors.

Christian Siriano - The Blues; But We Are Certainly Not Sad:

Christian clearly had a favorite color for this show as it was seen many times. So we pulled some of our favorite blue pieces for this series that include an array of different textures, designs, and patterns.

Latex Cutout - Cutouts are tending big time and we are delighted to see it on the runway.
Zebra - This furry coat and latex pant combo is sure to turn heads!
Funky Print - A plunge-neck paired with a fun and unique pattern.
Denim on Denim - Some say denim on denim is a crime, but this has got to be one of the best looks yet!
Triple Threat - The striped denim, the belt on bare skin, and head accessory is so unique!
Dark and Dangerous - The darkest blue yet is magnificent!

Kim Shui - Giving "Main Character" Energy:

This series of images from Kim Shui's NYFW show is a bundle of fun and chaotic energy. We see a collection of many different patterns and fabrics like tweed and fur combined into singular outfits that are sure to provide a perfect sense of "shock value".

Tweed Underboob - Mastering the art of pairing elegant fabric with a youthful cutout.
Disorderly Perfection - So much going on while serving at the same time.
Fur Pop - We love to see the fur accent on the collar and cuffs; cute and fun!
Lacey Leg - This lace stocking detail is absurdly beautiful.
A Touch of Fabric - We see lots of skin in this gorgeous lacey top.
Gloves - This two-piece set paired with the gloves and pop-of-pink headband..chef's kiss!
