Amidst all of the excitement, it can be easy to forget certain things you might want to bring with you - that's okay... we've got you covered! Scroll down to find out what you might not have realized you needed before - including cosmetics, style, and packing hacks that are sure to make your trip sail just a little smoother.

Cosmetics

Glow Oil

Whether your ideal trip is lounging on the beach or living it up at night, any lotion or oil with a hint of shimmer is sure to have you glistening. Oil and lotion, in general, promoted nourished and healthy-looking skin. Why not spice things up a bit and add some shine to your look? Shimmery skin photographs beautifully too!

Aloe Lotion

Aloe lotion is a must for long days in the sun, especially when your skin isn't used to it. Even if you don't burn easily, you can look at an itchy and painful rest of your trip without some aloe on hand. Forgetting your Aloe is almost as bad as forgetting your plane ticket!

Sunscreens and the variations

We know sunscreen is almost impossible to forget... but don't forget the variations! The lotion works perfectly for those long days spent out on the beach. Mist is great for when you're in a rush or don't plan on needing it for a long period of time. Where it gets more important is the face. You want to find the right facial sunscreen for you. There are lotion-based kinds that are safe for the skin or stick versions that are similar to deodorants. The sticks are more lightweight in coverage, good for layering with makeup as well. Lastly, you don't want to miss out on SPF for your lips either! You can find sunscreen for your lips in Chapstick form in many drug stores in your area.

Dry Shampoo

Nothing is more agitating than greasy hair that's not quite ready to wash. Dry shampoo will save the day with a quick boost of freshness in between washes.

Style

Brush On-The-Go

The warmer the weather; the frizzier the hair! Don't forget a brush and a compact brush you can hide in your purse. When your hair is wet, it is in its most fragile state, treat it with care!

Sarong

All hail the sarong! Sarongs have been on trend the past two summers, and we're bringing them back in 2022. They are perfect for adding more style to your swimsuit, covering bottoms that are too cheeky, and making that mid-day bloat a little more discrete.

Cover-up

Similar to the benefits of the sarong, cover-ups also come in many forms such as a dress or a two-piece set. Cover-ups are perfect for your stroll to the beach, or when you want to grab a bite to eat mid-beach session. Although many restaurants on vacation can provide outdoor seating, they still require you to be covered up. So don't forget to find one that works for you!

Blow Dryer Brush

Many times on vacation you'll find yourself spending a day at the beach and wanting to glam up at night. It is hard to avoid washing your hair before the nighttime festivities begin, especially if you found yourself taking a swim in the ocean. For some of us, a quick shower and natural drying to the hair work just fine. For others, it is nice to blow-dry the hair for a faster and more put-together look. Blow dryer brushes have helped tremendously in making the process a lot faster and easier to do than traditional blow dryers. The other plus side to these devices is you can find them for a low price depending on where you look.

Claw Clips

An absolute staple accessory to all wardrobes, all year round, claw clips can come in handy specifically on vacation for when your hair is feeling heavy, tangled, and frizzy, and hair ties are giving you bad headaches. Claw clips come in a myriad of shapes and sizes and are so convenient for those windy or sweaty days on your trip.

laundry

One of the best life hacks when going on trips is bringing a separate bag to store dirty clothes in if you don't have access to a washer and dryer on your trip. That way, you don't mix up your clean clothes with dirty. This hack also helps you remember which clothing items need to be washed upon your return.

Jewelry organizing

For some, jewelry can be a last-minute consideration when packing. We often forget about the different types of jewelry we might want to bring with us on our trip including rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, anklets, toe rings, waist accessories, etc. Remember to have some kind of designated container or bag for your little belongings so they "always have a home" while on the beach, in the shower, sleeping, or in any instance, you don't have them on your body. Try out some small mesh pouches with zippers you can easily find online. They are perfect for holding earring backs and little piercings. They also usually come in packs, so you can sort your bags by type of accessory. Here is an example:
